Procrastinating

  • Mood: Distracted
  • Listening to: Anything John Williams
  • Reading: Wikipedia
  • Watching: YouTube
  • Playing: NOTHING! I'm working. Duh.
  • Eating: Ummm, nothing right now.
  • Drinking: Tea, lots of tea.
I have a presentation to give in about 4 hours, so what am I doing? Everything but actually working on it.

I farted around on YouTube for a while.

I hunted down some music, because I need some John Williams music.

I realize that I clench my jaw when I'm tired and trying to stay awake.

I looked up people who share my birthday on Wikipedia.
On that note: How unfair is it that I only share with Boy George, while my roommate gets Elvis, Steven Hawking, David Bowie, and the creator of Yu-Gi-Oh? No equality at all.

I have already decided that I won't be going to bed tonight. No point really. I have to be up at seven and I'm not really getting anything done anyway.

I'm tired. This presentation is going to be interesting when I'm all dopey because of no sleep.

John Williams is neat. Unfortunatly, I can't find any books about him. I need to have four. I might have to make them up. Wouldn't be the first time.

GAH! I need to work on this, but I REALLY don't feel like it. I figure I'll get it done some time in the next four hours.

Maybe.

Hey check this out. If you've seen Star Wars you might like this.

Oh, yeah! I was supposed to send that one link to that one girl. I'll do that now.

There ya go, hun.

GAH! I'm bored. Guess I'll go work on my paper again. I have the Superman theme blaring in my headphones so I might be inspired.

Or I'm dreaming. Always a possibility.

*EDIT*

I'M DONE! Clocked in at 6:31!

Not bad considering I watched Quest for Camelot somewhere in there. Then looked for fanfiction, but didn't find much. (And none I really wanted to read.)

Schoooooool!

Because I have not updated for a while and Halloween is safely under my belt, I figured it was time for a new entry.

I was doing homework for statistics and I decided to let myself be distracted. Speaking of, my teacher turned out to not be as bad as I feared. It is still difficult to understand her, but for the most part I can decode it. Fun stuff.

I definatly dig college. The classes are challenging, my floor mates are great people, and I got a job at the school paper.

It's really funny, because my floor is easily the best one in the whole Tower, if not on campus. Our hall manager said we are his favorite and everyone is always surprised that we do stuff as a floor, like go to dinner. Haha, we even have matching T-shirts.

My roommate is really cool, too. She is outragously pretty and amazing at doing hair and make-up. I love how easily we live together. We have girl talk and moreserious conversations. We're also not shy when it comes to talking about things that could normally mess with a good living situation. I love her, she's precious.

For Halloween, I dressed as a pirate. Not any store bought pirate though. I was a one-of-a-kind pirate named Cap'n Katsie. I'm neat like that.

Anyway, I don't really have anything else on my mind right now, but I'm stoked to go home for Thanksgiving and see my family.

Okay, so I have successfully moved into my dorm, started classes, and basically bedun college life. This is actually the first chance I've had to sit down and write about it. So here goes.

My roommate is my polar opposite, but for some reason we get along anyway. We have conflicting schedules so we rarely see each other and we both sleep like the dead. This morning she laughed at me because I swore when my alarm went off. The point is, so far we have a good thing going.

My classes are simple so far, but I know they will get harder. I'll probably really like my Myths in Literature class and my UI100 class is about music and taught by one of the coolest teachers ever. My pych teacher ahs yet to keep us longer than 30 minutes and my Dance Appreciation teacher is really enthusiatic about dance, but not lecture (YAY!)

The only forseeable problem is my statistics teacher. She is fresh outta China and it shows. This is also her first year teaching her own class. I had to redo the provided notes into a format that makes sense and didn't take up 17 pages. I managed to bring it down to 2. No joke, 2. She does seem really enthusiatic and her notes are pretty through. My RA is also in the class, so if it comes down to it I have a study buddy.

Anyway, there are so many things I could talk about. Food: good, but I've been promised that it's only temporary, Campus: beautiful, but the hilliest place EVER!, Room: Cozy/Mine.

So this has been fun, but I'm running out of time, soooooo...

BYE!

Away!

Okay, so my face is all better, with the exception of the massive holes at the back of my mouth (they impressed the hell out of my nine-year old cousin Chris).

Now I'm ready to head off to school! I leave on Wendsday and check in at 6 in the morning Thursday.

I'm super excited, but it's so weird to pack my life up in boxes. On the other hand, I get to FINALLY move away from home. But briefly, as I will come back in two weeks for the Japanese Festival at the Botanical Gardens labor day weekend.

Anyway, excited to be going; sad to be leaving. I'm really gonna miss my dog, my bed, and my sister. Then, of course, all my friends and my folks. (And the good chinese, because apparently there is NO good chinese food where I'm going.)

Wish me luck!

Face. Hurts. Thank God for Pain Killers!

Okay, so getting out my wisdom teeth definatly ranks up real high on the "Things I don't like doing" list. My face hurts, my jaw is swollen, and this is the first time I've been on the computer in a long time. So, yeah, I'm going to whine like a two year-old, but I am not ashamed!

By the way! Yay, for the Olympics tonight! I'm excited. At least there will be something good on television for me to suffer and enjoy.

I read this back to myself and it doesn't make much sense, but I'm on heavy painkillers so I have an excuse.

We <3 Katamari is real fun when you're drugged!

Also, congrats to a couple of my friends and theor new jobs!
